Housing Community Service
District 751 in Washington has provided low income housing for more than 40 years to Puget Sound-area residents.
IAM District 751 has more than 500 units at five separate properties throughout King County in Washington State.
The union began offering low-cost housing in the 1960s because many of the workers 751 represented then needed a low-cost option because wages were low. Machinists wages have improved, but District 751 continues to operate the apartments for the benefit of Puget Sound’s working poor.
One of these properties boasts a state-of-the-art computer lab to help educate residents and provide opportunities to help with job searches and resume’ writing. It also allows children to get their homework done.
IAM District 751 is proud to offer these properties to area residents and looks forward to helping more families in the future.
